The South Dakota Department of Health has resumed reporting COVID-19 data once a week as of March 23, 2022. KELOLAND News will continue to track the cases as reported each Wednesday. DOH previously reported weekly totals between Wednesday, July 7 – Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
According to the South Dakota Department of Health, "the Department does not report deaths until a certified death record has been filed. By law, a death record must be filed within 5 days of the date of death."
